Trade Mark Application Request

Maxwells will be pleased to submit your application for your Trade Mark to become a Registered Trade Mark in Australia at the costs detailed at right.

Registration for New Zealand can be applied for at the same rates.

Costs for other overseas registrations vary by country. Maxwells would be pleased to provide a free of charge quotation for each country that you require registration in. There are international treaties which allow multiple country filings at relatively low costs in many of the popular countries.

By clicking on Request Quotation below you will be taken to a questionnaire which will ask you to provide details pertinent to your Trade Mark Application Quotation Request.

Once you have finished the Application Request, an email of your final Application Request documentation will be sent to you, and a copy to Maxwells.

You must email Maxwells a copy of the Trade Mark (for example a .pdf, .tiff or .jpg file) to the email provided in the email you receive with your Application Request (it is OK to simply forward that email with the Trade Mark file attached).

Maxwells will respond to your Trade Mark Application Quotation Reqeust with a formal Quotation for your approval before we proceed with any Registration Process.

The Quotation that Maxwells will prepare for you will be based on the information provided in your Quotation Request documentation (that will be started when you click on "Request Quotation" below) and the following pricing. Note that all costs shown include payment of the Official Fees and disbursements.

AIIA Member $1000 + GST

Standard (non-Member) $1200 + GST

Prepare and file application, receive, note and check particulars, enter into surveillance tracking system.

Note: If three or more classes are applied for in the same application, additional discounts will apply. Typically most ICT companies will register their trade marks in 3-5 classes.

Receive examiners report, prepare and respond to Examiner’s report.

Note: Experience shows that about 50% of applications have issued raised by the Registrar, and that these issues usually cost about $600-800 at AIIA Member rates or $800-$1000 at Standard rates to deal with.

Receive, note, check Notice of Acceptance, pay registration fee, note and check certificate of registration, and forward it to the client, enter Trade Mark into renewal registration system.
